The next type of coating is melamine, this coating is suitable to be rolled over for furniture in the house because the colors you have will usually fade quickly if you are too often exposed to the hot sun. Types of melamine coatings have various finishes such as glossy, semi-glossy, and matte or matte finish.
b. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
Polyvinyl chloride or better known as PVC has a thickness that is almost the same as the veneer coating, so care must be taken in its installation. PVC coatings are available in various sizes on the market so you can buy them according to your needs. Besides that, it is also available with many choices of motifs, so there are many choices and not monotonous.
c. High-Pressure Laminate (HPL)
This type of coating is somewhat different from the previous type of coating because the way to apply it is no longer with a brush but is affixed to the surface of the furniture with wood glue. In its application, it is usually done on a blackboard. The price of high-pressure laminate (HPL) on the market is quite cheap with many choices of colors and patterns so that you can adjust it to your liking.
d. Polyurethane
This type of polyurethane coating is very suitable for application on outdoor furniture. That’s because this coating can produce a thick layer which is useful for increasing the durability of wood. So that wooden furniture that is outdoors will be able to withstand hot weather, heavy rain, and is resistant to scratches, therefore wooden furniture that uses this material will last a long time.
e. Varnish
Apply varnish to coat wood. Varnish type coatings are very easy to use, so they are quite popular among the public, and have a natural finish, and display the wood grain beautifully. However, varnish type coatings are less suitable for use for outdoor furniture because they have less resistance to sun heat and rainwater.
f. Veneer

Veneer coatings are the same as HPL because the installation method is not applied with a brush but is attached to the surface of the furniture with wood glue. In applying it must be done carefully because it has a thin layer so it is easily damaged. Veneer coatings generally have a natural wood grain appearance, giving the furniture a natural feel.
