Basically we want to design traditional room because we want comfort, serenity, relaxing, far from crowded city (eventhough we live in a city), and maybe we want to present ambience of childhood house. There are simple things you should know when you want to design a room in traditional Indonesia style. Here it is the exposure.
Traditional style is often linked with Rustic Style which is old and ancient. Traditional room of Indonesia is far from modern nuances or metal, iron, and stainless steel furniture. This room is dominated with wood element or furniture, in Indonesia the wood furniture usually is engraved, sometimes it is even displayed without finishing. This furniture is Classic with soft curves, and smooth. This is a mix of straight lines with curved shape.
When you want to choose colours for traditional room, choose smooth colours or brown or white. Accessories such as lamps, ewers, flower vases, mirrors, plants, displays, etc, usually is arranged symmetrically. You can also find branches nuances on the accessories.
What about the illumination? In Indonesia traditional room, the illumination tends to dim just like in the past.
